Marge DerGurahian said ‘Sayonara’ to the GOP several months ago, stung by the firing of a family member from his City Hall job for misuse of a city computer. It looked like Marge had found a home with the Dems, but that’s no longer the case.
Word has it that Marge insisted on running at-large. No go, said Dem bosses Wade and LaPosta. Run in Council 1, or nothing. Marge held off on making her move. Then, Marge lost even more bargaining power with the Dems when family friend Joe Riley backed out of running for mayor, and now Dems are telling Marge they have no home for her. She is said to be considering a run as an independent somewhere, somehow, this fall.
