Rocked and Rolling Over

The Albany County Democratic Party had a somewhat rare split in the ranks over who to endorse for Attorney General. A big chunk of the party wants Andy Cuomo to get the nod, but another group of AlbCo Dems wants Denise O’Donnell, a federal prosecutor from Buffalo, which is located in Appalachia.

Give the O’Donnell backers in Albany County some credit: At least they are trying to get some kind of upstate/Appalachia presence on their party’s ticket. Is there any kind of effort in the Rensselaer, Schenectady, Columbia or Saratoga county Dem organizations to get an upstater on the ticket. Or are they happy to have Metro North handling all transportation arrangements for the statewide ticket?
