Into the Ash(ley) Can With Him

All-around crime fighter and honest guy Eliot Spitzer touched down in Rensselaer County recently. And Eliot was graced with the opportunity to get his picture taken with Dan Ashley, the chairman of the North Greenbush Democratic party! You’re right, they’re the guys who actually hired CB Smith and Steve Dworsky to work for the town.

Mr. Tough on Crime Spitzer should realize some facts about Democrat Dan’s past: In the early 1990s, he was implicated in a criminal proceeding about the beating of his daughter-in-law. His own grandchild got to take the stand to testify against Dan, certainly a proud moment! A couple of years ago, Dan was found to have constructed a garage without receiving any of the necessary permits. He didn’t even pay taxes on the thing! And Dan was also the guy directing the now-infamous illegal firing of more than a dozen town employees. That stunt is expected to cost town taxpayers more than $200,000 in one year, since many of the employees had to be hired back after the town improperly hired other employees in their place.

The Democrats must be proud of their Danny Boy.
