Republican legislators waged write-in primaries in areas of the county. It appears the primaries were good to the GOP, who are expected to pick up two WFP nominations in District 5 and possibly one in District 3. The GOP might have done better if not for higher turnout due to judicial primaries for the WFP line. Still, picking up more nominations means more good news for the already strong GOP legislative team.
