Mike Russo, McDonald's opponent, has offices in Mechanicville on Central Avenue, and also has supporters in the Democratic Party Headquarters on Broadway in Saratoga Springs.This is noteworthy because of the complete absence of support for Russo in Rensselaer County, home to almost half of the Democrats in the district. How is it that a Dem can win an overwhelmingly Republican district when half the establishment is sitting the race out?
