Umm…for once, we're at a loss for words. Governor Eliot Spitzer, allegedly patronizing a prostitute in a Washington D.C. hotel room, possibly violating federal laws and teetering on the brink of resignation and indictment in a story that blind-sided everyone in the Empire State.
What a stunning fall from grace. What a shock. What a waste. What a disgrace.
Probably the biggest political surprise on the state scene in several generations and Democrats believe the Spitzer scandal has hurt their party's reputation big time. More importantly, the scandal and the Steamroller's spectacular implosion has really dinged the state's image, based on the national and international attention Hookergate has received.
