Memorial Day

Put aside the politics for now, because today is one of the most important holidays for Americans.

Take some time to remember the brave soldiers who helped make today possible. Generations of average Americans, who volunteered or answered the call to duty and fought and sometimes died in faraway places. Many of them are still with us, veterans of Pearl Harbor, bombing missions over Europe or in the Pacific, witnesses to D-Day, the frozen forests of the Battle of the Bulge, hard-fought battles in Korea, the jungles of Vietnam, the deserts of the Persian Gulf and the battles fought today in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today is a day to remember, and if possible, say thanks.
